Portrait of a Judge

This painting was originally much larger, circa 1500mm x 1100mm, but badly damaged with major paint loss and torn canvas. Restoration work reduced the painting to its current size as a head and shoulders portrait. The pre-restored painting showed books in the centre left background and depicted the sitter with his hands placed on his knees
