Colin See-Paynton

Born: 1946, UK, England, Northampton

Printmaker and illustrator. Changed his surname from 'Paynton' to 'See-Paynton' incorporating his wife's maiden name. Studied at Northampton School of Art and worked at the Spectrum Studios, Bedford, during the 1960s. He has also lived in Sussex and London and travelled in the Far East and North Africa before settling in Wales in 1973. He produces large wood engravings of animals, fish and birds and has illustrated books published by the Gregynog Press
