Born: 1763, Ireland   Died: 1806, Bath, UK

Painter. Landscape artist. Left Ireland for London and studied scene painting under Columba at the Opera House. Upon returning to Ireland he was employed as a scene painter at Covent Garden Theatre and at Crow Street Theatre in Dublin. In 1790 he began exhibiting landscape paintings, mostly Welsh views, at the Royal Academy. He published several series of aquatints including views on the River Dee and views in Wales between 1792–4, views in North Wales in 1800 and views of Killarney and Kenmare between 1800–2. Works owned by the Victoria and Albert Museum, the British Museum, the Victoria Art Gallery and The Wordsworth Trust
