Stalks and leaves of a bamboo with a snail. The plant occupies the left margin of the image with the stalk split into alternate blue and orange segments. Background is plain grey with subtle gradations. The latter are partly created by vertical scraping of the surface of the print with a tool which deposits scattered fragments of silver.
